Beer Similarity

My name is Martin Riedl and I'm currently trying to build a dataset for similarities between beers styles, which at the end should be used in order to build a beer recommendation system. If you have questions, do not hesitate to write me an e-mail at: riedl AT inf.uni-hamburg.de

Rate the similarity of taste between various international beer styles. By similarity we refer to similar in taste. With a score of 1 we indicate that they taste mostly the same. A score of 5 signifies that these styles do not taste similar at all. If you do not know the similarity do not give any score. Below are three examples:

Gose vs Geuze ==> 2
Witbier vs American Strong Ale ==> 5
Irish Stout vs Baltic Porter ==> 2

Please specify the level of your beer experience

beginner (sometimes I drink a beers)
advanced (I've already had an IPA)
expert (I know the difference between Mosaic and Tettnanger)
professional (I'm working in the beerbusiness, e.g. brewer)
unknown (I will not tell you)
